Walk With Ease is a six-week program that has been certified by the Arthritis Foundation. While the program was developed for people with arthritis, anyone can participate and benefit from it. The program is free and open to anyone wishing to participate. The only requirement is that participants have the ability to stand for at least 10 minutes without increased pain.
Walk With Ease classes will be held three times per week for six weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Each class will last approximately one hour. All participants will receive a Walk With Ease Guidebook. The first class begins January 21, 2025, and will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Madison Civic Center. No pre-registration is required.

- Reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis
- Increase balance, strength, and walking pace
- Build confidence in your ability to be physically active
- Improve overall health

- Understand the basics of arthritis, and the relationship between exercise and arthritis pain management
- Exercise safely and comfortably
- Make a personal walking plan and goals
- Learn about other programs to maintain physical activity
